Meet the Ndine Family

Our Story

Hello! We are the Ndine family—Steve, Sharon, and our precious children, Shalom & Shammah. We are Kenyans, currently transitioning back from Uganda. We are full-time volunteer missionaries in East Africa working with a mission organization called YWAM (Youth With A Mission) and currently based in Mombasa, coastal Kenya. Our journey has been one of faith, transformation, and a deep commitment to serving God and His people.

Our Ministry

Our calling is to equip and disciple believers, helping them grow in their knowledge of the Bible and their relationship with God. We are involved in several ministries, each aimed at strengthening the body of Christ and spreading the Good News.

1. Discipleship Training Schools (DTS)

We formerly were leading a discipleship school program here in Kenya and now we actively teach and mentor in DTS programs in Kenya and Uganda. These schools bring together participants from various nationalities, creating a diverse and enriching environment. Our focus is to instill a deep understanding of God's Word and to prepare disciples who can effectively share their faith and serve their communities.

2. School of Biblical Studies (SBS)

For the last 2 years we’ve served as staff, teachers, and mentors at the Ugandan SBS, we’ve been able to train pastors, church leaders and Christians at large through a 9-month intensive SBS school program. Our courses delved into all the books of the Bible, providing comprehensive insights, systemic understanding of the whole bible as well as practical applications for the same. We are now passionately planning and excited about pioneering a new SBS program in Mombasa, Kenya, starting in February 2025. This will be the first of such a school in the Kenyan soil.

3. Pastors and Church Leaders Training
We organize and lead training sessions for pastors and church leaders, equipping them with the tools and knowledge they need to faithfully teach and lead their congregations. These trainings are crucial in empowering local church leaders to be effective ministers of the Gospel. The last of such program, last year Sept-Oct, saw a great success both in Uganda and in the Kenyan capital.

4. Online Discipleship and Mentorship

Through a volunteer partnership with GlobalRize, I (Steve Ndine) provide online discipleship and mentorship, extending our reach beyond geographical boundaries. This initiative allows us to support and guide believers from various parts of the world, fostering a global community of faith. I am currently working with the Pastors training course and the Bible basics program where I guide students, mark their assignments, and engage in active online mentorship exchanges as well as providing an active pastoral care and guidance.

5. Mission Outreaches

Our mission outreaches within East and Eastern Africa have and continue to allow us to share the love of Christ in various communities. These outreaches include evangelism, community service, and support for local churches, making a tangible impact in the lives of many.

Future Plans

We are constantly seeking God's guidance for our ministry and have several exciting plans on the horizon:

  • Pioneer School of Biblical Studies in Mombasa, Kenya (January 2025): This new initiative requires resources for structures, a library, dormitories, and Biblical resource materials. We are trusting God for provision as we prepare to launch this program early next year.
